I was gutted when I actually realised I had this book out of order. I have read book 2 before book one. I was pretty angry with myself as I had them both side by side on my kindle and thought I'd got them the right way around. So after finishing, this Book 2. I have just started book 1.
I enjoyed the story line in this book it was a little different, and I have to say the who dun-it part, I really didn't have a clue. I think I suspected more than one person throughout the book.
We kick off with a murder, and different things have you thinking in different ways as to who and why, buy you just get it so so wrong.
I have to say though, as much as I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, it just didn't have me holding my breath,
It's a very interesting story and well put together.
I liked most of the character and the way they were developed.
I am thinking that we will be seeing a whole lot more from this author as this series grows, I believe it will just get better and better.
Detective Sergeant Ava Merry and Detective Inspector Jim Neal.
Neal is a single dad so as well as caring for his son Archie Juggles his busy work schedule with the help of his sister, who is living with them after her relationship break up.
Merry is a single woman who is currently looking after her teenage brother along with working her busy job. she can be impulsive with just strengthens her character.
Both of these coppers are really likeable characters and grew on me through out the book.
One thing I feel I have to mention is the summary at the back of the book. I thought this was fantastic, and think there should be something like this at the end of each book, it was great to summarise all the characters up at the end. A real good addition.
About the book.
