She ruined their lives. Now they’re going to destroy hers.
‘Someone is recreating every traumatic point in your life. They are doing this to make you suffer, to make you hurt and the only possible end game can be death. Your death.’ On the fourth floor of Chaucer House, two teenagers are found chained to a radiator. The boy is dead but the girl is alive. For Detective Kim Stone every detail of the scene mirrors her own terrifying experience with her brother Mikey, when they lived in the same tower block thirty years ago. When the bodies of a middle-aged couple are discovered in a burnt-out car, Kim can’t ignore the chilling similarity to the deaths of Erica and Keith – the only loving parents Kim had ever known. Faced with a killer who is recreating traumatic events from her past, Kim must face the brutal truth that someone wants to hurt her in the worst way possible. Desperate to stay on the case, she is forced to work with profiler Alison Lowe who has been called in to observe and monitor Kim’s behaviour. Kim has spent years catching dangerous criminals and protecting the innocent. But with a killer firmly fixed on destroying Kim, can she solve this complex case and save her own life or will she become the final victim? The heart-stopping and totally addictive new crime thriller from multi-million copy number one bestseller Angela Marsons will have you completely hooked. Read what everyone is saying about the Detective Kim Stone series: ‘Marsons for me is the QUEEN of this genre. She knows how to add the human touch to each story and I just adore her. Bloody FABULOUS.’ Postcard Reviews 'I absolutely loved it!… one of the best crime thrillers I've read in a long time, and that includes mainstream authors such as James Patterson!' Fiona's Book Reviews ‘WOW! Did I just read what I thought I read?… I felt totally gut-punched when I finished. Came back to it a day later and re-read the entire book again just to make sure I had read it correctly the first time. Had the stuffing knocked out of me all over again… Totally in awe.’ Goodreads Reviewer, 5 stars ‘It's Angela Marsons, so five stars, 'nuff said… Gripping, intriguing, thrilling, addictive, fantastic… emotional and heart-breaking… I finished this late, sobbing my heart out… Read this book. Just do it… One of the very best detective series around.’ Deja Read, 5 stars ‘I truly don't know what to say… Somehow Angela Marsons manages smash the brilliance of the last book and better it tenfold… A first-class read that I feel will be difficult to top... This has certainly gone onto my 2018 MUST READ list.’ ILoveReadinguk, 5 stars Thrilled to be taking part in this blog tour. Here are my thoughts.
Firstly, how have we ended up at book 10 all ready. Secondly for any Angela Marsons fans there is no need for me to go on any more, you know you want it, you know you will have pre ordered it a million years ago and we know you won't have time to be reading reviews that others have put up about the book.
For everyone one else, why are you not all ready a fan of this authors work? Seriously, Once you get into this series there will be no stopping you. This is one of my all time favorite Detective series, I absolutely love the main character Kim Stone, I still don't know what it is that makes her so unique but she is, she's feisty, ballsy, no nonsense and just wants to get on with things. It's difficult to say what I mean without repeating what I have said over and over. Kim, Bryant and Stacey still have the death of Kevin Dawson clear in their minds, he will always be missed. They seem to be getting used to newest member - DS Austin Penn, I think everything takes time and once they all finally realised he wasn't Dawson then things become easier. The team are up against it this time around, certainly Kim who is trying her best to pretend the case they have been landed with has nothing to do with her personally, it's just a coincidence that some of the details resemble something in her past. But who the hell is she trying to kid? because if it's herself she's failing miserably. When Kim realises that she is going to have to share some of her past with others it's a moment of weakness to her, It's something she has kept hidden from most for a long. long time and feeling she has to share her private thoughts is hard going. This case has got personal. I know nearly everything i've said is just repeating myself from previous books, but honestly Angie Marsons must have decided long ago to hold back and throw some of the best of Kim Stone for these later books. This series of books is phenomenal, and just get better each time. It's a wonder the readers are still here to review with the amount of times you hold your breath while reading. Total page turner. Clear your diary, have a few days off and curl up with this bad boy. This is a quote from the review of Book 9 in the series, I think all i need to say this time is 'it will hit the 2019 MUST READ LIST', my feelings are just the same. ‘I truly don't know what to say… Somehow Angela Marsons manages smash the brilliantness of the last book and better it tenfold… A first-class read that I feel will be difficult to top... This has certainly gone onto my 2018 MUST READ list.’

The Girl You Lost by Kathryn Croft. #Review @bookouture @KatCroft #TheGirlYouLost #Netgalley19/2/2019
Eighteen years ago your baby daughter was snatched. Today, she came back.
A sinister and darkly compelling psychological thriller from the No.1 bestselling author of The Girl With No Past. Eighteen years ago, Simone Porter’s six-month-old daughter, Helena, was abducted. Simone and husband, Matt, have slowly rebuilt their shattered lives, but the pain at losing their child has never left them. Then a young woman, Grace, appears out of the blue and tells Simone she has information about her stolen baby. But just who is Grace – and can Simone trust her? When Grace herself disappears, Simone becomes embroiled in a desperate search for her baby and the woman who has vital clues about her whereabouts. Simone is inching closer to the truth but it’ll take her into dangerous and disturbing territory. Simone lost her baby. Will she lose her life trying to find her?
Well having a few days needing complete rest has really helped me get through a few books, I decided at the start of the year I would get through some of the older books I have outstanding that need reading. So here I am, this time around I have chosen The Girl You Lost by Kathryn Croft.
What did I think. This is one of those books that has characters that are real and feel almost like you know them. It's a Psychological thriller with twists galore. You really do get dragged into the story of this book. How do you cope with life when your child is snatched. How do you move on from something as heart wrenching as that. 18 years later Simone is confronted by a young lady who believes she is her daughter. A lot of questions need answering but when Grace the young lady who confronted Simone, believing to be her daughter disappears again, there are even more questions to be answered. Simone is then on a mission to find the truth. A race to find the answers needed could cause a whole heap of trouble and danger. As the truth becomes closer you really find yourself wanting answers, for a good outcome, for things to be solved and work out. Very cleverly put together and makes interesting reading.
TWO CHILDHOOD FRIENDS
Best friends Tommy Boyle and Scratch always had each other’s backs. Dragged up in care, and cruelly betrayed by everyone they trusted, they made a pact to fight their way out of the gutter – together. TWO SIDES OF THE LAW Old loyalties die hard on the streets of London. Tommy throws his lot in with the notorious Darling family – even if it means leaving Scratch to the wolves. She’s destined for a different path, reinventing herself as copper Kim Regan. ONE DEADLY SHOWDOWN Now they’re on opposite sides of the law. Running Operation Sting, Kim will rip the heart out of the Darling’s empire – and only her old pal Tommy stands in her way. As gritty and dangerous as the London streets in which it’s set, this is No.1 bestseller Kimberley Chambers at her best. Get ready for a shocking read with a STING in the tail . . . The new, explosive, gritty read from one of my all time fav authors. This book is one I have been looking forward to since I closed the pages on the last book this author wrote.
OMG.... Well worth the wait, but come on! Did I really expect anything other than perfection.
What an OH my GAWDDDD read..... Loved it from the opening pages. I was fooled for a page or two as I thought this was going to be quite a tame read, It wasn't. It was what we have all come to know as ' typical Chambers' Put your feet up, clear your diary and get ready for the ride of your life. Tommy Boyle didn't have the best start in life, losing his mother early in his life set a path for Tommy. A path in which he'd grow up having to make his own choices and take on the world. When Tommy is forced to live in a children's home it's hard to see how life for a young boy can be. The troubles that a young life has to go through. Yet no matter what troubles Tommy seems to have friendships, yet can friendship hold the test of time? This book is packed with some amazing characters, Tommy was certainly one of my favorite, a character that was not only likeable but also believable. His childhood girlfriend Scratch was another brilliant character, following their mixed up lives took me as a read on an emotional roller coaster. What Danny Darling becomes friends with Tommy, neither of them know what their future is going to hold. If they'd had a glimpse of it, would they have lived their lives so differently. It's such a brilliant book, but such a difficult book to write down your thoughts about. There is so much I could, and want to say but I can't risk spoiling anything for other readers, so this is where the waffle stops. BUY IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! A first class page turner for sure, any KC fan will love this book. Why did I keep expecting one of the Butlers to pop up somewhere. lol Life is what you make of it.Thrilled to be on this Blog Tour.

He’s going into business with crime boss Frank Gambino. But visiting Anna at work one night, Gambino tells her he’ll only sign the deal with Freddie on one condition – that she hands over Club Anya to him. With tension growing between Anna and Freddie, her mind is on other things. She doesn’t notice that someone is watching her every move. She doesn’t realise just how much danger she’s in. When one night she doesn’t return home, Freddie is beside himself with worry. And as he races to save Anna, one thing is for sure – he’ll get back the girl he loves. Even if it means taking down the whole of the London underworld to find her…
My thanks to @Bookouture and @Netgalley for the Ecopy ARC of this book.
My thoughts Well I have to say I was thrilled to be reading this book. I absolutely loved Runaway Girl and Dangerous Girl, so I was eager to get back in to the lives of the characters I've been getting to know, and what characters they are. Emma certainly has a knack of creating memorable characters. Her writing style is unique, being dragged in to the story and pulled along before you are left absolutely breathless at the end. Emma is way up there now amongst the best authors of this genre and without even knowing the title or reading the blurb Emma is one of those authors for me now, who no matter what the book is, I will need to read it. It's hard when you read so many books to keep getting something different, something fresh. This author certainly manages it and some more besides. I think by now you might have guessed I loved this book. I really don't want to be giving to much away as far as the story goes, I really don't want to spoil the enjoyment for this book for anyone. Because believe me, this is one read you will want to sit and devour without any spoilers. Back in the lives of Anna, Freddie and Tanya. Anna having fled a bad relationship and starting over again became very good friends and business partners with Tanya. Between them they manage their clubs. Freddie is Anna's boyfriend who is a big part in the London criminal underworld. Having become successful in what she does and with all she has been through Anna is normally quite guarded around friendships and who she can trust, needing to keep one step ahead or things can go very wrong. Things go very wrong for Anna and it's down to Freddie to put them right. Is it to late, has Anna let her guard down maybe just a little to much. Who can and who should she trust? This is not your typical London Gangster, crime type book, this is one of the best. Fast paced, full of action, enough to keep you on your toes and wanting more, and then some more... Loved how this book ended, it certainly leaves you knowing that there is more to come, I for one cannot wait... These books could be read as standalones, but seriously to get the full back history of the characters and to fully appreciate them, they really would be better read in order. First class read, had me hooked and is going on my 2019 Must Reads list!
Author Bio:
Emma Tallon is a British, gritty crime writer, adventurer, Londoner and mother to a young son. Starting her career a few years ago as a ghostwriter, Emma crafted some of the most adventurous, edgy and heart-wrenching stories you can find on the shelves today. In March 2017 Emma stepped out of the literary shadows and self-published her first book, Life Game. The book was an instant success, the results far exceeding anything she had expected. As news of Life Games popularity spread, she joined forces with W.F.Howes and the audiobook was launched in October 2017. In December 2017, Emma signed a three book deal with publishers Bookouture. This included Life Game which was changed, re-edited and re-released as Runaway Girl. Drawing inspiration for her books from a mixture of her own observations and an active imagination, the characters Emma paints are colourful and larger than life. Her story lines are an interesting recipe of deep emotion and violent grit, that keep her readers engrossed. With two more books in the works for this series already, Emma has many more stories planned out for the future.
