'Fantastic' MARTINA COLE
'Britain's answer to Harry Bosch' MATT HILTON 'A powerful thriller from an explosive new talent' DAVID MARK ______________________ After The Puppet Show, a new storm is coming . . . Jared Keaton, chef to the stars. Charming. Charismatic. Psychopath . . . He's currently serving a life sentence for the brutal murder of his daughter, Elizabeth. Her body was never found and Keaton was convicted largely on the testimony of Detective Sergeant Washington Poe. So when a young woman staggers into a remote police station with irrefutable evidence that she is Elizabeth Keaton, Poe finds himself on the wrong end of an investigation, one that could cost him much more than his career. Helped by the only person he trusts, the brilliant but socially awkward Tilly Bradshaw, Poe races to answer the only question that matters: how can someone be both dead and alive at the same time? And then Elizabeth goes missing again - and all paths of investigation lead back to Poe.
After reading book 1, The Puppet Show and absolutely loving the characters in it, I couldn't wait to start book 2. What a god damn awesome read it was.
I couldn't wait to be back in the lives of Poe and Tilly, what a remarkable duo these two are. I love the bond between them both and the so unlikely working relationship that just works so well. Poe is again in need of help again and it's his buddy Tilly that will be there to help him. Super Chef Jared Keaton was locked up for the murder of his daughter, It was Poe who helped get him locked up. The shocker is when 6 years later still serving the time he was given, Jared Keaton's daughter Elizabeth suddenly turns up. This has everyone stumped, even super fact finding Tilly can't work out this one, after all, all the evidence was there to show that Elizabeth had been murdered. That is everything, but the body. Let the madness commence. WHAT A READ! These books would make for some awesome Sunday night TV viewing. I really couldn't recommend these books highly enough. I guess you could get away with reading this having not read The Puppet Show, but I really wouldn't recommend doing so. These books are so good, to know you have every little detail in your mind, you really should read them in order. Outstanding writing, and a series i'm going to love book after book, I just can't keep waiting for the next one to come out. Maybe I need some form of time machine to take me to the next publication. I so so can't wait. This book will be going on my 2019 Must Reads list, without a doubt.

OMG, Kerry is certainly one of my fav authors at the moment. Boy this woman can write.
The second instalment of Kerry Barnes’ explosive new series!Do you live by the rules, or die by them?
Holed up in prison, Mike Regan is offered a deal – his freedom in exchange for his firm taking down the gang that is supplying a new dangerous drug that has hit the streets. What starts as a game soon becomes a shocking revelation with devastating consequences. Meanwhile, Mike’s fiancé, Zara Ezra, has her own firm to run. But when the so-called Governor is out to take her down, she has her own decision to make – either fight, run, or write her own rule book…
What did I think?
Well where do you start, there is so, so much I want to say about this book, this series. It's absolutely brilliant, it's one of those books that once you start you get lost, lost in the pages, lost with the characters, nothing else in the world matters at the time of reading because you can't think of anything else other than the book. Epic, Just E P I C! This is a must read. This will be going on my 2019 'Must Read' list I loved the previous book 'The Hunted' and was so looking forward to this, now I've finished 'The Rules' I need 'The Choice' and I need it now. I know there are bigger problems in the world, but my biggest problem in my bookish world is waiting on book 3. July can't come quick enough. This is one of those books, you want to scream and shout about, but have to be so careful as to not give anything away. What I can say is I love the characters, I love the story line, I have gotten to know a little more of each charcter as the book has gone on and feel like i've been on a journey with them. I really can't wait to find out what is in store next. Kerry, keep these coming, keep these amazing characters and story lines you make up in your head, oming, becuase i need more.
Grace thought she had it all. Living in the beautiful village of Little Ollington, along with head teacher husband Mark and gorgeous son, Archie, she devoted herself to being the perfect mum and the perfect wife, her little family giving her everything she ever wanted.
Until that fateful day when she walked in on Mark kissing his secretary - and her perfect life fell apart. Now she's a single mum to Archie, trying to find her way in life and keep things together for his sake. Saturday nights consist of a Chinese takeaway eaten in front of the TV clad in greying pyjamas, and she can’t remember the last time she had a kiss from anyone aside from her dog, Becks… Grace’s life needs a shake up – fast. So when gorgeous gardener Vinnie turns up on her doorstep, his twinkling eyes suggesting that he might be interested in more than just her conifers, she might just have found the answer to her prayers. But as Grace falls deeper for Vinnie, ten-year-old Archie fears that his mum finding love means she’ll never reconcile with the dad he loves. So when ex-husband Mark begs her for another chance, telling her he’s changed from the man that broke her heart, Grace finds herself with an impossible dilemma. Should she take back Mark and reunite the family that Archie loves? Or risk it all for a new chance of happiness? A funny, feel good romance about finding your own path and changing your life for the better – readers of Cathy Bramley, Jill Mansell and Josie Silver will love this uplifting read. Tissues, Chocolate and a clear diary. Is all you need when starting this book.

A jump over to the bright side for my reading choice. I was so thrilled to be able to read an ARC of this book and be a part of the blog tour. Let me just start by saying I am so, so proud of what this lady has done. Kim Nash has followed a dream, written a book, had it published and put smiles on many, many faces with her words. Not just in the story of this book but by being an online friend to many, Myself included. Kim has been an amazing support for me, through troubles and health, always on the other end of a message. Kim I want to take this chance to say I am so, so proud of what you have done, and thank you for being an amazing friend. You have written a book to be mighty proud of. This 'AUTHOR' is one hell of a lady. Now the book, my views are my own and while this is a jump of genre for me, occasionally I love getting stuck into a feel good book. I started this one while soaking in a lovely bath, Epsom Salts, Radox, a cuppa and a bar of chocolate. Myself and my kindle spent a good hour soaking and getting to know Grace. I loved Grace immediately. One of those characters that from the opening pages you are rooting for. You fall in love with her character right away. Grace is a single mother bringing up her young son alone and doing the best she can for him. Working as an estate agent allows Grace to be able to spend quality time with her boy as she is able to work around him and his school hours. Her boy is her life. Just the two of them plodding along. There is nothing else needed in Grace's life, is there? Well her friend clearly thinks there is and to start with that involves a wardrobe make over for Grace. Out with her tracky bottoms and her black clothes, in with the new. With this a new Grace is materialises. Following Grace on her new journey was amazing. Rooting for her every step of the way, shouting at her when I thought she was making the wrong choices, trying to advise her as she went along. I really connected with this character. I wanted Grace as my friend. The Character is just so lovely and someone that everyone can relate to in some form or other. I could go on a lot more about this book, but taking away the excitement of the story unfolding isn't something I want to do for the reader. I really can't wait for more from Grace and her family. This really is one of the best Chic Lit, feel good books I have ever read. This book will be going on my 'Must reads of 2019' without a doubt. This book was just totally EpicallyAmazeballz. A true feel good, feel good book.

If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Casey Kelleher and Jessie Keane, you’ll love Boss Girl.
You’ll do anything to save your family, even kill for them… Anna Davis is under pressure. With her West End nightclub packed full every night and the opening of another club just around the corner, she knows she can’t take her eye off the ball. Her boyfriend Freddie Tyler practically owns London’s West End and he’s got a big deal on – one that could make the Tylers the most powerful family in London. He’s going into business with crime boss Frank Gambino. But visiting Anna at work one night, Gambino tells her he’ll only sign the deal with Freddie on one condition – that she hands over Club Anya to him. With tension growing between Anna and Freddie, her mind is on other things. She doesn’t notice that someone is watching her every move. She doesn’t realise just how much danger she’s in. When one night she doesn’t return home, Freddie is beside himself with worry. And as he races to save Anna, one thing is for sure – he’ll get back the girl he loves. Even if it means taking down the whole of the London underworld to find her…
My thanks to @Bookouture and @Netgalley for the Ecopy ARC of this book.
My thoughts Well I have to say I was thrilled to be reading this book. I absolutely loved Runaway Girl and Dangerous Girl, so I was eager to get back in to the lives of the characters I've been getting to know, and what characters they are. Emma certainly has a knack of creating memorable characters. Her writing style is unique, being dragged in to the story and pulled along before you are left absolutely breathless at the end. Emma is way up there now amongst the best authors of this genre and without even knowing the title or reading the blurb Emma is one of those authors for me now, who no matter what the book is, I will need to read it. It's hard when you read so many books to keep getting something different, something fresh. This author certainly manages it and some more besides. I think by now you might have guessed I loved this book. I really don't want to be giving to much away as far as the story goes, I really don't want to spoil the enjoyment for this book for anyone. Because believe me, this is one read you will want to sit and devour without any spoilers. Back in the lives of Anna, Freddie and Tanya. Anna having fled a bad relationship and starting over again became very good friends and business partners with Tanya. Between them they manage their clubs. Freddie is Anna's boyfriend who is a big part in the London criminal underworld. Having become successful in what she does and with all she has been through Anna is normally quite guarded around friendships and who she can trust, needing to keep one step ahead or things can go very wrong. Things go very wrong for Anna and it's down to Freddie to put them right. Is it to late, has Anna let her guard down maybe just a little to much. Who can and who should she trust? This is not your typical London Gangster, crime type book, this is one of the best. Fast paced, full of action, enough to keep you on your toes and wanting more, and then some more... Loved how this book ended, it certainly leaves you knowing that there is more to come, I for one cannot wait... These books could be read as standalones, but seriously to get the full back history of the characters and to fully appreciate them, they really would be better read in order. First class read, had me hooked and is going on my 2019 Must Reads list!
Author Bio:
Emma Tallon is a British, gritty crime writer, adventurer, Londoner and mother to a young son. Starting her career a few years ago as a ghostwriter, Emma crafted some of the most adventurous, edgy and heart-wrenching stories you can find on the shelves today. In March 2017 Emma stepped out of the literary shadows and self-published her first book, Life Game. The book was an instant success, the results far exceeding anything she had expected. As news of Life Games popularity spread, she joined forces with W.F.Howes and the audiobook was launched in October 2017. In December 2017, Emma signed a three book deal with publishers Bookouture. This included Life Game which was changed, re-edited and re-released as Runaway Girl. Drawing inspiration for her books from a mixture of her own observations and an active imagination, the characters Emma paints are colourful and larger than life. Her story lines are an interesting recipe of deep emotion and violent grit, that keep her readers engrossed. With two more books in the works for this series already, Emma has many more stories planned out for the future.
