We are introduced to these 4 women…
Nancy Arlow – Pretty much a has been actress/pop singer. Who is short of cash, and trying to find ways of making some. And if i'm honest she doesn't seem to care who get's in her way while doing so.
Lauren Everett - the wife of a politician, who seem’s seriously bored with home life. Who once had a dream of being a singer. Is it now too late to follow her dreams, without bringing her husband down.
Martha Eclair – The daughter of a millionaire, and she is rather fond of sex. Not really fussy who with. But she's also ballsy. And I really did like her character.
Portia Safari - famous operatic singer/performer who can’t seem to find a man to love. Who also seems to like a little drinkie or two.
Each woman with what seem's like their own addictions. Each woman on a journey to find just what it is they are looking for.
With the exception of Nancy, to start off with I liked all the women. Their lives are so different yet so similar. They all seem to be lacking something in life. And what a brilliant journey they go on.
This isn’t really the sort of book I would normally read, but after reading a fellow bloggers review I thought I would really like to give it a go.
And I did enjoy it. I really really did bloody enjoy it. As I said very different read for me, but really enjoyable. It was quite a fun read, with enough going on to keep you guessing and wanting to read on. At time's I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen, but I kept getting that wrong.
I have been joining in this month with the #NewAuthorForMe challenge, and I have found yet another author here that I would look forward to reading more books from.
Addicted is a book you could become addicted too while reading it, and following the lives of the 4 women each with their own addictions the title just seemed perfect for it.
