And no one believes its true . . .
A dark and gripping psychological thriller with a horrifying premise and a stinging twist - perfect for fans of Before I Let You In by Jenny Blackhurst and The Lie by C.L. Taylor.
Alex Taylor wakes up tied to an operating table.
The man who stands over her isn't a doctor.
The choice he forces her to make is utterly unspeakable.
But when Alex re-awakens, she's unharmed - and no one believes her horrifying story. Ostracised by her colleagues, her family and her partner, she begins to wonder if she really is losing her mind.
And then she meets the next victim.
So compulsive you can't stop reading.
So chilling you won't stop talking about it.
A pitch-black and devastatingly original psychological thriller.
Imagine waking and finding yourself on an operating table fastened down so you cant move. This is what happened to Dr Alex Taylor.
But why is she there, she doesn’t recall having an accident, she doesn’t recall very much, then there is someone standing over her. A man.
Then she is found in a car park at the hospital where she works. But when she tries explaining events it seems no one wants to believe her.
Trying to make people aware what has happened to her, and believe her is proving difficult.
And as other things start to happen, it’s soon clear that everyone thinks Alex is losing the plot, or actually lost the plot.
This was a great story, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I was holding my breath towards the end of the book to see what happened.
A very well put together story. That will have people guessing and wondering if Alex is indeed losing the plot. A great page turner that will keep you attention all the way through.
