The woman’s bright blonde hair floats in the breeze. She almost looks like she could be resting on the soft green grass. But her brown eyes stare unblinking up at the sky, and the final cut across her mouth is dark with blood. Her words silenced forever…
Late one evening, as the final church bell rings out, Sandra Deakin’s cold and lifeless body is found in the overgrown graveyard with multiple stab wounds. When Detective Kim Stone rushes to the scene, the violence of the attack convinces her that this murder was deeply personal. What could have caused such hate? As the team dig into Sandra’s life, they discover she believed she could communicate with the dead. Was that why she was targeted? The last people to see her alive were a group of women who had a session with her the night before she was killed, and as Kim and her team pay them a visit, they soon learn each of the women is lying about why they wanted Sandra’s help… Kim realises she must dig deep and open her mind to every avenue if she’s going to stand a chance at solving this case. And when she learns that Sandra was banned from the church grounds and had been receiving death threats too, she’s ever more certain that Sandra’s gifts are at the heart of everything. But just when she thinks she’s found a lead, the broken body of a nineteen-year-old boy is found outside a call centre – a single slash across his mouth just like Sandra’s. Kim knows they are now racing against time to understand what triggered these attacks, and to stop a twisted killer. But they might be too late. Just as Kim sits down at a local psychic show she discovers something that makes her blood run cold. Both Sandra and the call centre were named in an article about frauds. And this show stars the next name on the list. She looks around the audience with a feeling of utter dread, certain the killer is among them…

And what did I think
Unfreakingbelievable as always. Angie certainly knows what her readers want and she delivers each and every time. Another unbelievable read. Book 18, most series of books have got a little stale, a little samey by the time you get into double digits. This is book 18 and the stories and characters are nowhere near having had their day. There is still life, zest and umphh in each and every character and new story. Delivered each and every time with more grit, more power behind the stories. I really can not praise this series enough. So much so, that after completing book 18, I have decided to treat myself and go right back to book 1 and start reading them again. So far it's just as good the 2nd time around. I seem to say this with each and every book, so I wont disappoint and not say it - I don't know how the hell Angie does it, but i'm so glad she does. OUTSTANDING! What do I like about these books? Well, firstly the characters, we've certainly grown and aged with each other. I love the strength, determination and the wit of these characters. I certainly do feel as though I know them, as though opening each new book is like a telephone catch up with a friend you haven't seen for a while. I wan't to know what they are doing, what they have been up to at what point they are currently at in life. I feel i'm really invested in these characters. Secondly the story lines, the crimes. Each time it feels fresh, It's exciting, i'm left wanting and needing to know what is going to happen. I then get to the end of the book and I want it to carry on, and on, and on... I think I could read these books forever and a day. Kim Stone and her team are tasked with searching for a killer, when a woman's body is found in a graveyard. Quite a brutal killing that makes it look personal rather than a random killing. Now follows the who and the why and it's down to the team to piece together what could have happened. I loved the psychic element that was weaved into this story line, it added something different. Something that really does get you thinking while reading. I don't think you particularly have to know about or like the psychic elements in this book but it certainly adds to the story. Bravo, now ready for the next one. Angie really does like to add pressure to herself because we all know that the next book will be just as, if not more, epic.
