Child No. 3 (The Little Girl Lost trilogy - book 1) Really enjoyed this. well worth reading, the story pulls you in from the beginning, wondering whats going to happen next. enjoyed it so much had to buy the next one right away ... The story is about Amy Walker and her desperate need to find out about herself. She goes off to search and follow anything that leads her to find out who she is and where she comes from after finding out she was adopted. I don't think she or anyone else imagined just how much it takes for her to find things out, and how much trouble it can cause along the way. This is the first book in the trilogy. Product Description Having exposed lie after lie told by her foster parents, Amy Walker sets off on a mission of self-discovery to unearth exactly what they have kept buried from the world. After journeying from her Manchester home to the shanty towns and palaces of Morocco, more untruths lead her back to London and a dark Chechen underworld, where she discovers she was third on a coded, list of stolen children. As Amy gets closer to unearthing her truth, she disturbs it, alerting the gang to her existence. Her truth will do anything to stay hidden. The gang is still in operation and ready to strike again in Barcelona. Child No. 3 must be silenced. Little girl lost must never be found.

An ex lover comes to work the case with her, can they rekindle what they had before he left for her to sort her relationship out with her now ex. And can they solve the murder case together. The run up to Christmas and the killer is on the loose in London. Killing women but the only link between them seems to be a tasar gun. Can Antonia find him and get him locked up before any more bodies are found. A very good debut crime novel and I think we are going to see more of DCI Hawkins and her team. I would defiantly read the next one. I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway, but because at the time i was struggling to hold a book, I ended up also buying it for my kindle so i could finish it off. Product Description The Advent Killer is the electrifying debut thriller from British author, Alastair Gunn. Christmas is coming. One body at a time. As panic spreads across London, DCI Antonia Hawkins, leading her first murder investigation, must stop a cold, careful killer whose twisted motives can only be guessed at, before the next body is found. On Sunday. Lock Down I really struggled at the start of this book. I just couldn't get into it and my concentration was everywhere but the book. Reading when poorly is not always a good idea. Luckily i'd seen some good reviews on the book by a couple of trusted book bloggers, so i put it down for a few days and started it again when i felt a little better. Right from the start then, I liked Ryan Lock, the main character. (only liked.. so my reading blogger friend Kat, doesn't have to rip my eyes out thinking i want him) He just seemed like one of those guys you want with you if you were ever in trouble, someone you could count on. he's an ex soldier turned elite bodyguard. The story line was very good and kept you on your toes right the way through the book. I'm glad i picked the book up again, and i look forward to reading more from this author. New York. I think having read lee child's killing floor helped me understand the book a lot more. will defiantly be reading more from this author. Jack Reacher: Friend or Enemy? Otto and Gaspar are by-the-book hunters who know when it's necessary to break the rules; Reacher is a stone cold killer. But is he their friend or their enemy? Only the secrets hidden in Margrave, Georgia will tell them. Jack Reacher: Friend or Enemy? It's been a while since we first met Lee Child's Jack Reacher in Killing Floor. Reacher IS a wanted man. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Breaking Away 4/5 I have recently read the fantastic Dividing Line series by this author, and it seemed the next thing to do was start this series. book one Breaking away- Starts off with Laura and Daryl in what I would call a not so great relationship. Its only after a lottery win she decides to leave, but has left it a little late, and Daryl turns into a major monster.. She soon enters a new relationship with Daryl's best friends, The big hunky Zak. But will she ever be rid of Daryl, will he really let her leave and move on so easily? The story starts to build right from the beginning, and to be honest it just has you gripped the whole way through, a really "need to keep reading book... I thoroughly enjoyed the read and the Characters are realistic, to the point many times i found myself wanting to punch them, or shout out at them. And at one point I also filled up with tears, sooooo glad i was on my own at that point. Contains sex, strong language, violence and scenes of domestic abuse. A Hint of Death- Short story _A great short story for any fans of the Bob Sinner series. And helped pass half hour of waiting around.... Free for a limited period, an original short story featuring DS 'Sauce' Haddock and Scotland's finest, Chief Constable Bob Skinner, available exclusively in ebook. When DS 'Sauce' Haddock visits his old teacher to investigate an alleged jewellery theft, it quickly becomes clear that another, far darker truth, lies beneath the surface. With Chief Constable Bob Skinner's help, Haddock will soon discover that outward appearances are never as they seem, and that no crime can go unpunished... Also features an exclusive extract from Quintin Jardine's brand-new Bob Skinner mystery, HOUR OF DARKNESS. Other books also available in this series. The Avenged (Kindle Edition) 4/5 After reading another book reviewers review on this, I really wanted to give it a try. And i'm glad i did. Homicide Detective Jacob Hayden from the third district and partner Charlie Evans set out to deal with what looks like a drug related street murder. Things soon take a turn and the story really gets going. The plot is fast paced and keeps you needing to read on. Jacob ends up dealing with not only his own demons, but a bent judge- Bent coppers - Drug dealers - Snipers - death - death - and more death. It's hard to tell as you get through the book who is and who isn't Bent/corrupt. And just who can and can't be trusted. A great read with plenty happening with twist and turns all the way through. But will Detective Jacob Hayden survive this investigation with so much against him. You better read the book to find out. The next book in this series is now available Hostile Justice (Justice series #8) (Kindle Edition) 5/5 Book 8 in the Justice series, Brings Lorne back to the police force.. She's defiantly at her best being a detective. She leaves husband Tony and daughter Charlie in charge of the PI business and and the dogs home, and teams up again with partner Katy. The rolls are reversed and Katy is now Lornes superior, although all the way through I got the impression that it was still Lorne in charge. The story starts off with a headless woman's body being discovered by four young boys in an abandoned warehouse. It doesn't take them to long to discover who she is, and then it's just a matter of putting all the pieces together to work out what happened.. Simple of course. Only its not that simple, and as things start to happen, Lorne is hit with more problems. Her daughters best friends 18th party doesn't have a happy ending and Luigi her brother in law is being threatened. Can Lorne and Katy work through everything that is happening and piece together the facts, to get to the bottom of it all..... you will have to read the book to find out.. Personally I have loved the Justice series, and book 8 is just as good as the other 7. I would personally recommend you read them in order. And that way you get to enjoy the whole series. I read this over a couple of days as I really wanted to get to the end, and see what was happening, yet with all good books as I got to the end I didn't want it to finish. I really look forward to reading more of Lorne and Katie's police partnership, will be interesting to see how this friendship holds up... #M A Comley Other books available in this series Betrayed.
