A true story of loss, hope, love and forgiveness. Through a childhood where she experienced abuse and bullying a little girl holds on to the dream of a family of her own where her children will have the childhood she wishes she had. However the stress and strain of motherhood together with the memories from her past threaten to overwhelm her as she is overcome with grief for her lost childhood. As she puts one foot in front of the other to ensure her kids have what she missed out on during her early years, her broken heart fills with love for them. Her healing begins and she embarks on a journey that leads her to living a life filled with love, passion and purpose.
A brilliantly touching well put together book. How one woman overcame struggles from her past, and managed to find a way forward. A way forward that worked for her, that helped her become the person and the mother she wanted to be. How she over came child hood memories that were less than perfect, but how she managed to turn herself around.
A really interesting and touching read.
It's important as a parent to understand, you will not know how to do everything, that sometimes you will get things wrong. But you can pick yourself up, and carry on, and at the end of the day the most important part of being a parent is loving your child, caring for them and doing your best. No one can ask for more than that.
Well don Ber for having the courage to write this book. Thank you for my review copy, it was much appreciated.
