You have to stop me from hurting anyone else. I don’t want to do these horrible things. Help me before I’m forced to do it again. And I will do it again because I have no choice. I’ve never had a choice.
In a busy shopping centre, a little girl clutches a teddy bear, clinging to it in the absence of her mother, Katrina. Hours later, Katrina’s body is discovered in an abandoned building. For Detective Kim Stone, it looks like a quick, functional kill. But Kim’s instincts tell her there’s more to this senseless murder than meets the eye. What was the motive for killing a young mother out shopping with her child? Days later, a second victim is found in a local park, her neck broken just like Katrina’s and her six-year-old son missing. With her colleague, Detective Stacey Wood, working on another unsolved crime and a member of the team grieving the loss of a close relative, Kim is struggling to make inroads on what is fast becoming a complex case. And when a handwritten letter from the killer lands on Kim’s desk addressed to her, and pleading for help, she knows time is running out to bring the little boy home alive. With the support of a handwriting analyst and profiler, Kim and the team begin to get inside the mind of the killer and make a shocking discovery. Some of the victims have scratch marks on their wrists. But these are no random scratches. The killer is using them to communicate with someone. The question is… with whom? And if Kim doesn’t find them soon, another innocent soul will die.
Another stonker of a book. How the hell does this author do it, time and time again these books just get better.
I love following a series of books as I really feel over the series you get to know the characters, you really get a feel for them and the things they do. This series would make for a brilliant TV drama. Kim Stone is great at knowing and following her instincts. Her team also know when Kim has something in her mind to do, she'll do it. Stacey, Bryant and Penn are Kim's team. They all work amazingly with each other and the banter between them is fantastic. The team I would say have pretty much gotten used to Kay and the way she is, which is a good thing really. When Kim receives a letter from the Killer of two women asking her to help stop him killing. It's all systems go. The clock is ticking and the team must get going. I find it exciting when you think you have figured out who the killer is, most of the time I'm wrong, as I was on this occasion. I find when you are so far in a series of books that knowing the background of al the characters really adds to the enjoyment. We are seeing different snippets from the lives of all the characters and just getting to know them even better. I love following their back stories and their current lives. I especially love the bond between Penn and his brother. I highly recommend this book and also the whole series, if you are anything like me you will be best to read them in order as it really does help. I know I've said this before but I wish I could un-read the whole series so that I could start it all over again. One of my all time favourite Detective series and thrilled to hear that Angela has a lot more to come for this series.

I know it's something we all say from time to time but my goodness, I COULD NOT PUT THIS DOWN!
One that certainly got my heart beating. It was beating that fast my fitbit thought I'd been for a run. I have just loved this series, each and every book you learn more about the characters their lives everything they stand for. the author here has created a fantastic set of characters that work so well together. Betrayal, loyalty, Revenge, gangsters, guns this book has it all. we are Back with the Tyler brothers, Anna and Tanya, these characters feel like they are people I know, I've followed them so far on an epic journey. The author has done a first class job creating such unique and individual characters. There seems to be so much to deal with this time around, so much going and you don't have a clue in which way things are going. They thought they'd seen the last of the Russians but it seems the wife of missing Alexis is on the war path and thinks that Freddie may have killed him. Will hidden secrets surface and destroy Anna and Freddie's relationship that finally seems to be back on track. Anna is struggling with what she see's as a betrayal from a close friend, it's tough seeing a great friendship crumbling but sometimes you just can not forgive. Seeing this story not only carry on from book to book but with each new book we have new enemies, new characters and this flows seamlessly through each book just reeling you in that little bit more. This series is like a drug it's set out to get you and once it has there is not giving up. These books should come with an addiction warning. So so good, I can't recommend this series highly enough. If you can't trust those nearest to you, who can you trust?

‘Hugely confident … harrowing, visceral … recommended’ Ian Rankin
A murdered woman… When the body of a young woman is found in a local park, DC Maggie Jamieson knows she’s dealing with no ordinary killer. The murder victim has been disfigured; her outfit changed to resemble someone else. Someone Maggie knows all too well…her close friend Dr Kate Moloney. A determined detective… Maggie is determined to keep her friend safe, but with Kate already struggling with a threatening stalker, Maggie now fears Kate’s life is in real danger. Who else would want to harm Kate and why else would the killer be turning his victims into exact replicas – his living dolls? Can Maggie find the depraved killer? Or will Kate become his next living doll? ‘Kept me hooked’ Angela Marsons ‘An excellent read’ Martina Cole 'Gritty, dark and chilling’ Mel Sherratt
I really don't know what to write about this book. Just buy it doesn't seem enough. Firstly I really was looking forward to reading this book, I have read the authors first two books and loved them. So when I got the chance to read this I was foaming at the mouth to start it.
I did think maybe the author had put to much into the first two books and there was no way she could top those. How wrong was I! Noelle has delivered again. Being a book blogger, working in publishing and being an avid reader must really add to the authors writing as she just knows what her readers want. Something Gripping, addictive, chilling yet believable and it's all delivered here. Brilliant and believable characters and I have to say there was a character that appeared in this book that was also in book one and it's good to see her making something of her life. When the body of a young lady is found DC Maggie Jamieson has a terrible time, she's believing it's someone she knows. She's so grateful when she finds its not her friend Dr Kate Moloney. It seems the killer has dressed the victim to look like Kate. How sick is that, this shows what sort of monster they are dealing with. At the beginning of this book it's almost like Maggie is taking Kates stalker more serieously that Kate is. It isn't really to long before Kate seems to grasp how serious the matter is. I love a book that keeps you second guessing and keeps you on your toes the whole way through. It's dark and creepy in parts which makes it 'Dead Perfect' I'm loving this authors twisted mind.

She wanted to save a life. Now she must fight to save herself. When DC Lucy Murphy meets Debra, wife of feared drug dealer Gerard Jennings, she sees a young woman in urgent need of help. Brutalised by her husband, Debra is too terrified to tell the police what she knows. But Lucy is determined to bring Gerard down – for Debra’s sake, and the safety of the Griffin Estate. Meanwhile, after the death of one of his drug runners, Gerard is under pressure from his bosses to prove he’s still up to the job. Facing threats of violence as well as police interest, Gerard is getting desperate – and desperate men are the most dangerous of all. As Lucy prepares to go undercover in Gerard’s gang to get the evidence she needs to arrest him, her beloved grandmother Winnie starts acting strangely. She mentions a man visiting her at night in her care home, but that makes no sense – does it? Any distraction could prove deadly for Lucy and the people she’s trying to protect. But she has backed a vicious man into a corner, and he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants. A gritty, shocking, action-packed thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Fans of Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and Jessie Keane will love this.
Casey Kelleher is one of my all time favourite authors. Most of the time I don't even read what the book is about. I know I'll love it. This one is no different, exciting, nail-biting tension that has you hooked from early on in the book. My personal view is read the first book before starting this one, but If you are someone who doesn't mind reading out of order this could well be read as a stand alone.
I love meeting familiar people again, this is book 2 back with DC Lucy Murphy. This book is set in London on the notorious Griffin Estate, an estate I could read about forever but not actually want to visit. Coping with things from her past Lucy is a brilliantly written character, She has history but is also focused on the here and now. She has a job to do and she will do it. She's a strong and determined lady. Lucy is set to go undercover and try and bring down a very nasty and dangerous man. Is Lucy really up to this job or is it all a front. Things could go very wrong here and going under cover is never easy. When you have family issues that are playing on your mind this could be deadly. Another action packed, gritty page turner from this very talented author.
To catch a villain sometimes you have to become one.
Bailey's Back! From the bestselling author of Jailbird. Detective Constable Bailey Morgan is back doing what she does best – working undercover. This time she has to infiltrate the inner circle of a notorious underworld family. Posing as a fellow villain, she is on a one-woman mission to bring the family to their knees. But things are never that simple. Bailey finds that she is forced to confront shadowy wraiths from her past and will come face-to-face with a set of devastating revelations that will shatter her world and threaten her very existence. With only herself to trust, Bailey is on her own and the stakes are higher than ever. Heart-stopping and gripping. Perfect for the fans of hit TV shows such as Line of Duty and Gangs of London.
Another brilliant read from this author.
The main character is undercover Detective Constable Bailey Morgan. This character is fantastic. I love everything about her, the author has done an amazing job Building a character that can do nothing but grow. Bailey has to infiltrate the inner circle of a notorious underworld family. Posing as a fellow villain, she is on a one-woman mission to bring the family to their knees. But we all know this isn't going to be easy or straight forward and with a family as tight as The Malloy family. This family may contain nuts, if you have an allergy stay away from them. They are not the nicest of families and the lengths they go to, to remain notorious is not for the faint hearted. Twists, turns a rollercoaster of a ride but one that will leave you wondering what the hell can come next for Bailey. Can Baily get in with them, can she bring them down. Is her personal life going to interfere with her mission or will she lose focus. Reading this book is the only way you'll find out. Becoming a huge fan of this authors work and I for one can't wait for more. I think this author is well suited to this genre and will be flying high with some of the best very soon. A nature-loving cat and her conservationist mum team up to save endangered species! Boo the tabby cat is born on a Lincolnshire farm and seems destined for a simple life. Everything changes when she's put up for adoption and taken in by Ellie Caldwell, an adventurous Cambridge graduate student who loves animals and is studying to become a wildlife conservationist. Between lectures, Ellie heads to the countryside for camping trips, her Instagram-anointed adventure cat in tow. On rocky trails, Boo discovers that, like Ellie, she has a passion for the natural world, and because she's able to communicate with all animals, she can relate their challenges back to Ellie. But there's a serious problem: whenever Boo tries to tell Ellie something, all Ellie hears is 'Meow'. Can they work out a communication system, and in doing so, save endangered animals from harm while encouraging public support of nature and wildlife? Praise for The Adventures of Ellie & Boo: "The Adventures of Ellie & Boo is a charming, contemporary conservation tale, and its pages contain numerous life lessons relevant to children and adults alike." Evelyn Asher, educator and communications strategist "The Adventures of Ellie & Boo is a unique look at wildlife conservation, through the eyes of a domestic house cat and her owner. The book weaves entertaining, fun facts about dozens of species throughout, including several like turtle doves and badgers that readers may not realize face the effects of deforestation and a rapidly warming planet. Kerr's book helps kids and adults realize that the animal kingdom is an interconnected web; and also delves into common, but complex, communication issues that people face every day. Educational and fun, The Adventures of Ellie & Boo is a book every kid should read." Jenny Adams, author, freelance writer, and photographer "Right from the get-go, Boo's adventurous spirit captures the reader's imagination. Through storytelling, Kerr does an excellent job of navigating the complex issues central to wildlife conservation in a manner that is accessible and enjoyable. We need more stories like this one to engage young people at a tender age; indeed, stories like The Adventures of Ellie & Boo could change the course of wildlife conservation." Salisha Chandra, Director of Strategy and Knowledge Management at Lion Guardians "Conservation biologists and cats are two of my favorite critters and here they are together at last in this delightful, clever story. My daughter and I loved it. Andrew Bleiman, author of the ZooBorns series Our Thoughts.
Firstly what pulled me towards this book is the fact that the girl in the book is called Ellie, and she had a cat that she loved and if it had been possible would have taken out on adventures with her. The difference between this Ellie and my Ellie is just 12 years, I really thought this was going to be about a young girl on an adventure, Ellie is 22 and a conservationist. This book had a wonderful mix of fun and adventure while getting out there how important conservation is. Its done in such a way you don't feel like you are being lectured about it and it opened up lots of opportunities for us to talk about things while reading the book. I felt not just my daughter but also my self was learning from this read. I fond it informative and knowledgeable but above that I found that myself and my daughter fully enjoyed it. Sat snuggled, taking it in turns to read a page each. My daughter has now taken to book to school so some of her friends can read it, she's hoping she can get the teacher to use it as a class read, so major well done to the author for actually getting a 10 year old fully engaged in a book. I have to say I loved 'Boo. We lost our cat aged 14 earlier this year but while reading this book it was our cat I visualised and given the chance I believe he would have loved going on adventures with Ellie. A truly lovely story that I would recommend for all ages. if it's to be read by a child then a good reader would manage this but it can also be read to younger children and I believe they will fully engage with it. Ellie likes to explore the world around her, the book kicks off with how she comes about getting Boo the cat, and how the cat ends up on an adventure with her. Boo can talk to the other animals and this is partly how the story is told. It was fun listening to the cat. Talking to the other animals is one thing but Boo has to figure out a way of getting through to Ellie, How can she get Ellie to understand how she is feeling or what she is thinking. A brilliant adventure to follow and suitable for any keen reader.

Get ready to go on the ride of your life with the Carter family. An emotional gritty roller coaster of a read. Liverpool and the Carter family. Everything is perfect, everything runs smoothly. Grace is married to Michael and their older sons work at running the business now, the drugs, the illegal side of it all. But it seems someone wants in on the action. From the start of this book I was lost. Nothing else mattered to me other than the words on my kindle. Some fantastic twists and OMG moments. A real bumpy, twisty roller coaster read. I loved this book, one of the best books I've read a first class read that I can't recommend highly enough. Caz Finlay is certainly becoming one of the best in this genre, I'm so excited for what is next. Deserves way more than the standard 5 stars. WHISPER FEN HOLDS DARK SECRETS
