When Millionaire playboy Sheridan Rivers is found dead at his luxurious hotel on the paradise island of Barbados, there are several suspects in the frame…
Sutton: Sheridan’s long-suffering wife was permanently pushed aside for his younger lovers. Was it time for her to make a stand?
Kassidy: Sheridan’s assistant longs to be wealthy in her own right. Employed for her sexual and organisational skills, could she have had her eyes on a bigger prize?
Nikki: Sheridan’s oldest daughter has done something really bad that her dad has discovered. What price will she pay to keep his silence?
Heather: The apple of her father, Sheridan’s eye. But her father was responsible for a terrible tragedy that turned her world upside down. Is the time ripe for revenge?
Four women, each with a cross to bear – all waiting for the perfect moment to get even...
This summer, pour yourself a glass of bubbly and escape with the elite to the golden beaches of Barbados for a sexy, scandalous romp that you won’t be able to put down.
Let me just start by saying if you have not read any of Nigel May's books, then you really do need to start right now.
His books are just freaking awesome. I was persuaded shall we say to read Nigel's books after reading a fellow bloggers reviews on them, and as we have such similar tastes in books, I'm glad again that I trusted his judgement.
I have to laugh though when this one became available on Netgalley, I down loaded it ASAP, and after receiving a message off my blogger friend I knew I wouldn't settle until I had read it. I actually stopped reading the book I was half way through so I could start this, and by god I'm glad I did.
The problem with a book like this is once you start it, you have to carry on reading it at every opportunity. And you really are gutted when it finishes.
Boom... this is one explosive book. Money, Murder, Sex, Scandal, Betrayal, Glamour.... it has it all. (are you running off to buy it yet?) well you should be.
I think it is safe to say I loved this book.
The details the descriptions everything about this book is just freaking awesome.
Just picture yourself on a beach, sun beating down on your body, with this book in your hand.
In the last week we've had a day of the worst snow of the year, followed by a mini heatwave, it's cold and miserable then crazy hot. But while reading this I could have been anywhere because nothing else mattered.
You really are in for a treat with this read, and sorry if I've all ready said it, but it really is a must for this summer. Just like the other books I have read by NM you are dragged right into the pages as soon as your set off reading, thrown about a bit, messed up and then spat out right at the end. It's a book you keep thinking of even after you have put it down.
Just like my perfect cuppa, Hot and Steamy and thoroughly enjoyable.
There are some amazing characters, some I liked a lot, and some I really didn't like. Some that I started off liking and then changing my mind part way through.
I really can't praise this book enough, and like the Velvet Hotels it features, It needs 6 stars, but I can only give 5, so it's got to be 5 Big fat huge golden stars.
Certainly one of my best reads of 2016.
Super big thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book.
