If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Casey Kelleher and Jessie Keane, you’ll love Dangerous Girl.
Sometimes your enemies are closer than you think Anna is finally happy. She’s rid of her abusive ex and she’s co-owner of London’s hottest new club, with her best friend Tanya. But she is worried about her boyfriend, Freddie. He’s keeping things from her. And he won’t tell her where he goes in the middle of the night. Freddie is furious. A girl has gone missing from one of his clubs and the police are all over him. When a familiar face turns up and threatens him, he’s offered a deal – find the girl or Anna will be killed. With time running out, Freddie risks everything to save Anna’s life. And if there’s one thing Freddie Tyler is known for, it’s that he never gives up. Not without a fight… My thoughts on this 5* Read.
Dangerous Girl, What a read. A damn enjoyable page turner. I started this book an afternoon I wasn't feeling so good. It certainly helped take my mind of the crappy things happening in real life. I was lost in those pages and the lives and crimes of the characters.
I recently read Runaway Girl, which is the first book, so I was thrilled when I realised this, Dangerous Girl was a follow on. I Can safely say if you enjoy reading the likes of Casey Kelleher, Jessie Keane, Jacqui Rose then you will love these books. Personally I would say read these books in order for a better background feel, I don't think it would matter if you didn't, but I love knowing the history of characters from the beginning. I love the characters of Anna and Freddie, the straight as a die woman with the gangland partner makes great reading. The daughter of a very influential man has gone missing. She disappeared after visiting Freddie Tylers club. Last seen on CCTV outside of his club. This has the police crawling all over his club, not something Freddie Tyler needs. He is somehow dragged into the search for her, and it's a race against time to figure out what has actually happened. There is some violence in this book, but I would say if you like the gangland crime style books, then you won't find it over the top. It's what helps make these types of books. A damn good unputdownable read, and I for one can't wait for more. Emma Tallon is certainly going to be one of those authors whose books you 'MUST' read. I knew that after book one, and when this book become available as an ARC on Netgalley, I didn't even bother reading what it was about, I just clicked that request button. You may also enjoy
Emma Tallon is a British, gritty crime writer, adventurer, Londoner and mother to a young son. Starting her career a few years ago as a ghostwriter, Emma crafted some of the most adventurous, edgy and heart-wrenching stories you can find on the shelves today.
In March 2017 Emma stepped out of the literary shadows and self-published her first book, Life Game. The book was an instant success, the results far exceeding anything she had expected. As news of Life Games popularity spread, she joined forces with W.F.Howes and the audiobook was launched in October 2017. In December 2017, Emma signed a three book deal with publishers Bookouture. This included Life Game which was changed, re-edited and re-released as Runaway Girl. Drawing inspiration for her books from a mixture of her own observations and an active imagination, the characters Emma paints are colourful and larger than life. Her story lines are an interesting recipe of deep emotion and violent grit, that keep her readers engrossed. With two more books in the works for this series already, Emma has many more stories planned out for the future.
