Let’s talk about sex… would you share your bedroom secrets if it meant saving your marriage? A refreshingly open and uplifting romantic comedy about friendship, love and sex. Sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone in order to give a relationship a good dose of TLC… Sex therapist Annie Hall helps couples put the fizz back into their relationships. It’s a shame her own love life is non-existent. When Jamie who works next door catches her eye, she can’t ignore the spark of chemistry. Most men would jump at the chance to skive off work for an afternoon quickie with their gorgeous wife but Nick knows Julia is after only one thing – a baby. Sex shouldn’t be a chore. Can Annie help Julia see that? Newly engaged Zoe and Simon can’t keep their hands off each other. They’ve decided to take a vow of celibacy until their wedding night. Will Annie help them stick to it? Roy and Linda have been married for over thirty years but she’s more interested in the family business than getting intimate with him. Can Annie convince Linda to rediscover her passion for Roy after all this time? While Annie begins to work her magic with the three couples, she soon finds herself falling for Jamie. But she’s been hurt before – will he be different? It’s time for Annie to take some of her own advice and learn a few life lessons of her own… 4/5 A very well written book. One of those book's you need a cuppa some munchie stuff and a free day, for curling up doing nothing but reading. You will sure not want to do anything else once you have started to read this book. Annie Hall is a sex therapist, One of those subjects many people are not keen on talking about. In this book we follow a mixture of couples seeking help with the therapist. We also follow Annie to and her life. A very well written book. and really enjoyable read. Super thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for a review copy of this book.

Title - The Girl's Guide to Getting hitched Author - Sophie Hart Format - ebook Source - Review copy via Netgalley Rating 4/5 Rule number one: Keep calm and marry on… When new mum and events planner Julia Crawford is given the opportunity to plan three weddings, she jumps at the chance. What could possibly go wrong? … Forget bridezilla, Aimee’s future mother-in-law is the stuff of nightmares – hell bent on taking over the wedding entirely. She’s determined to shed a lot of pounds before the big day. As the wedding inches closer, will the new Debbie lose sight of what’s really important? Gill loves Mike and their blended family of five kids to bits, but with a house full of teenage hormones and her eldest, Kelly, struggling with so much change, Gill is feeling the pressure... As the women bond over cake and a cuppa, can they each resolve their wedding woes before the big day? My Thoughts A great fun and easy read. Something a little different for me, I seem to be sneaking in quite a few of these books in between my crime books. Julia is just starting work again after having her baby. She is offered the chance to plan a wedding that will out do all weddings before it. Where money is no object, how amazing would that be. Well maybe not. This book brings together Amiee, Debbie and Gill, along with Julia they all have one thing in common. Weddings. It's brilliant how you see some of each of the ladies lives in this book, and then how it all comes together is really well done, well written story that you just can't help but enjoy. I'm sure if you are anything like me you will like some characters more than others, but that just show's to me that the author has got the balance just right. A really enjoyable read, and I will read more from this author in the future. |
