She wanted to save a life. Now she must fight to save herself. When DC Lucy Murphy meets Debra, wife of feared drug dealer Gerard Jennings, she sees a young woman in urgent need of help. Brutalised by her husband, Debra is too terrified to tell the police what she knows. But Lucy is determined to bring Gerard down – for Debra’s sake, and the safety of the Griffin Estate. Meanwhile, after the death of one of his drug runners, Gerard is under pressure from his bosses to prove he’s still up to the job. Facing threats of violence as well as police interest, Gerard is getting desperate – and desperate men are the most dangerous of all. As Lucy prepares to go undercover in Gerard’s gang to get the evidence she needs to arrest him, her beloved grandmother Winnie starts acting strangely. She mentions a man visiting her at night in her care home, but that makes no sense – does it? Any distraction could prove deadly for Lucy and the people she’s trying to protect. But she has backed a vicious man into a corner, and he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants. A gritty, shocking, action-packed thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Fans of Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and Jessie Keane will love this.
Casey Kelleher is one of my all time favourite authors. Most of the time I don't even read what the book is about. I know I'll love it. This one is no different, exciting, nail-biting tension that has you hooked from early on in the book. My personal view is read the first book before starting this one, but If you are someone who doesn't mind reading out of order this could well be read as a stand alone.
I love meeting familiar people again, this is book 2 back with DC Lucy Murphy. This book is set in London on the notorious Griffin Estate, an estate I could read about forever but not actually want to visit. Coping with things from her past Lucy is a brilliantly written character, She has history but is also focused on the here and now. She has a job to do and she will do it. She's a strong and determined lady. Lucy is set to go undercover and try and bring down a very nasty and dangerous man. Is Lucy really up to this job or is it all a front. Things could go very wrong here and going under cover is never easy. When you have family issues that are playing on your mind this could be deadly. Another action packed, gritty page turner from this very talented author.
The one place she never wanted to go back to. The one place she can’t escape.
When she was just five years old, Lucy Murphy witnessed her mother’s brutal murder in their home on London’s notorious Griffin Estate. The case was never solved. Now a newly qualified police officer, Lucy has been given her first job: she’s going back to the Griffin Estate. She is there to protect the estate’s vulnerable residents, including Shannon and Kian Winters, two kids struggling to deal with their alcoholic mother. Fifteen-year-old Shannon is working every spare hour to keep a roof over their heads, but thirteen-year-old Kian has fallen under the sway of gang leader Jax Priestly. And now Jax has plans for Shannon too… As Lucy gets to know Kian and Shannon she becomes determined not to let the two teenagers become Jax’s victims. But time is running out. Jax is out of control, and the gang’s violent reprisals are escalating. Can Lucy face down her own demons in time to prevent a tragedy? As a child, she already witnessed the murder of one innocent person. It will take all her courage and training to stop another. A shocking, fast-paced read that will keep you gripped from beginning to end. Fans of Kimberley Chambers and Martina Cole won’t be able to put this down.
Well well!
Casey Kelleher does it again. What another fantabulous read. It's safe to say I have never been disappointed with any book by this author, this is an author that I don't even need to read what the book is about, if CK has written it, I want to read it. CK is an expert at drawing you into the story, making you feel like you could almost be a part of these lives. You are certainly kept on your toes when reading these books. Lucy Murphy witnessed tragedy in her childhood. Its something you would never wish anyone to see, never mind a young child. Lucy is a police officer with a heart and back working on the estate in which she grew up. The Griffin estate is one of those estates you love to hear or read about but would not like to actually live on. Now working in CID, Lucy has no choice but to be there as this is where her case needs investigating. Some fantastic characters in this book I really liked getting to know Lucy and her Nan, whom she looks after was wonderful character with a heart-breaking story, I really felt involved with this part of the book more than the rest, I really got myself involved in wanting to actually help her. This delicate subject in the book has been done beautifully. Amazing journey following the character in this book, there are some horrible, (but you can't help liking) kind of characters, and characters that you just love and are rooting for. I enjoyed the story of brother and sister Shannon and Kian. Shannon is young with her head on her shoulders and her brother is getting mixed up in to thigs he shouldn't be. following their day to day lives was realistic and topical. Typical estate behaviour. I can't recommend this book highly enough and no words I have will ever do it justice. The best thing to do is treat yourself, put your feet up and have a good read. I'd love to hear what others thought of it. fantastic read.

This is Casey Kelleher's first Phycological thriller and what a thrilling read it is.
I didn't even read what this book was about, I knew i liked the authors work and that was all i needed to know. I found this an easy but addictive read, this book took me away from my realities of the moment and lost me between the pages. This book is a fantastic, fasinating twisty twister of a read. Rebecca and James seem like the most beautiful perfect couple. Married with a baby daughter 'Ella. The couple have it all. Being a new mummy seems to be playing havok with Rebecca's mind, her mental health seems to be suffering and it's clearly more that baby brain. Rebecca knows she needs to keep baby Ella safe, she is convinced someone is watchin her. But who, she has no idea. Rebecca knows she has a past that needs forgetting about but these odd events really can't be linked to her past in anyway. This book leaves you second guessing what is going to happen. It has you thinking you know just where it's going. You will be wrong, I was. Clear your diary, put your feet up as once you start this book you will not want to put it down. I'm not sure what more I can say other than WOW, WOW, WOW. What a brilliant start to the New Year for this author and this book, I cannot wait to see what Casey has to offer next. A mighty fine story teller. The Forgotten. Blog Blitz

A gritty and hard-hitting thriller packed with shocking twists… Fans of Martina Cole and Kimberly Chambers won’t be able to put this down. Byrne Family Trilogy (3 Book Series)
Thrilled to bits, is a bit of an understatement to be lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. I have loved this series of books and here we are at book 3.
What a flipping read it was. I loved every single page, every chapter made you want to read on, just one more, just one more. If this book had been 800 pages long I would have still wanted more. Casey Kelleher certainly knows how to write a book that gets you hooked, I don't know how but each and every book beats the last one. when finishing the last book you just don't believe that it can ever be topped but Casey has managed that, TEN FOLD. I'm more than a little impressed with these books. Back with the Byrne family, It's been great following this family through life's struggles and It's great to see how Nancy has grown up and really come into herself. Now the head of the Byrne empire, Nancy takes nonsense from no one. Nancy is now also trying to be a good mother to her baby girl. Still keeping the business going and juggling motherhood, Nancy is besides herself when the past catches up and her beautiful daughter Scarlett is snatched from the park. One thing is for sure Nancy will go to the ends of the earth to get her little girl back, but is it to late? There has to come a time in life that if you take things from others, that one day it will be payback. An outstanding read, if you have read any other book by this author and enjoyed it, then let me tell you, this is the best book yet. What more is there to say, I mean shall I waffle on about it or shall I just say, go buy it, go treat yourself. If you haven't read any of these books then you'd be thrilled to know that all 3 books are available and less than £6. I mean come on we spend that on tatt some days. Spend it on something that will give you hours of entertainment. These books will certainly do that. Imagine if your going away anytime soon, you could just rest, relax and get lost in the world of the Byrne family. I'm speechless as to how much I enjoyed everything there was about this book. Best one yet!

I was thrilled to get my grubby little hands on an ARC of this book. Thanks go to Netgalley and the Publishers, Bookouture. I was also thrilled to be able to take part in the blog tour.
I've been a huge fan of Casey Kelleher's book for a good few years now and was looking forward to this one as it was a follow on from The Betrayed a book I loved. I think this one would be fine read as a standalone, but personally I would say read The Betrayed before The Broken. That's just my opinion though, and I much prefer reading books in order. *Don't read on if you intend reading the books in order and have not yet read book one, as it could contain spoilers.* Nancy Byrne is the new head of the Byrne Gang. Following her father's death, it's down to Nancy to take over, as it seems no one else is capable. Her father was one of London's most feared gangsters. Gunned down in cold blood. The book opens following Jimmy Byrne's funeral. Nancy has the weight of the world on her shoulders now, shoulders that are going to need to take on so much for such a young woman. Her Grandfather Michael Byrne isn't really bothered that his son has died, yet Nancy's Grandmother, Joanie is in pieces and struggling to cope with the loss of her beloved one and only son. Is Nancy going to be in way above her head, it's sink or swim in the world she's involved with. More than one person will stab you in the back at the first opportunity, you have to learn to be one step ahead. You also need a quick lesson in who can and can't be trusted. Nancy's brother Daniel is on a mission of self destruct, who is he going to take with him to get what he wants, and is there anyone who can stop him destroying 'The family business'. This book was friken awesome. From start to finish I could not wait to see what was going to happen. I believe this is going to be a trilogy, I so so can't wait for the next one.. Casey Kelleher somehow seems to be able to top each book written, these books just get better and better. I don't know where the idea's come from, but please Casey, keep them coming. Casey is well up there with the best authors in this genre. This book has it all, crime, violence, death, drugs, gangs, you name it, it's in there. Well worth more than the given 5 stars. And Breathe................... This book is going in my 2018 Best reads, without a doubt.

Those closest to you don’t stab you in the back. Do they?
Jimmy Byrne is one of the biggest faces on the Soho scene. Equally feared and respected, he’s clawed his way to the top. Money is his game, and he’ll make it by any means necessary. When Jimmy sets his sights on shy young Colleen Walsh, she is quickly seduced by his sweet words and the life of luxury he offers her. But behind the diamonds and fur coats lies the reality of gangland violence – and by the time she realises the truth, she’s already in too deep. Like her father, Jimmy Byrne, Nancy Byrne is strong, opinionated - and ruthless. But when Jimmy is murdered. Nancy vows to find the killer and make them pay for their actions. Only the perpetrator is someone close to home. Someone she trusted. Someone who betrayed them all. Blood is thicker than water – but Nancy is not afraid to spill some to get the truth. A totally gripping and gritty thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. Perfect for fans of Kimberly Chambers, Martina Cole and Jessie Keane.
One thing you can't argue with is the fact that Casey Kelleher can write an AWESOME book.
Each book for me seems to get better, I love the style of writing, the story lines, I don't think Casey could write a bad book. This one had some great characters in it. Some you will love some you will hate, some you'll change your mind on as you go through the book, then probably change again. Oh yeah some great interesting characters. A story line that is easy to follow so you don't get lost with to many people/places, yet it really does hold your attention and becomes one of those books that you just can't put down. Jimmy Byrne, a feared face knows what he wants and isn't bothered how he gets it. He sets his sights on Colleen and before long they become Mr and Mrs. But is it the life that Colleen wanted. A rollercoaster of a ride. Ups and downs of life in the fast lane. I really am worried about saying to much, as most of what I want to say would give too much away and I don't want to spoil it for anyone that is yet to read it. It's one hell of a read. Casey, as I have said before can certainly write a bloody good book, this one I wanted and needed to read as much at a time as I could. I really didn't want to put it down, I enjoyed each and every page of this book. I would love to know what comes next. And personally I can't wait to read more from this family. If you want a fantastic read, something that will grab your attention and hold it until the last page, then this is the book you need to be reading. Thanks go to Bookouture for allowing me to read this ARC, via netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. YOU MAY ALSO LIKETwo sisters. One murder. And an unbreakable bond. When their mother is sentenced for brutally murdering a client, Georgie and Marnie’s already precarious lives are blown apart and they now share a terrible secret. Sent to a children’s home, the sisters hope this might finally be their safe haven after years of neglect. But they soon discover they’re in real danger. Desperate to find a place of safety, Georgie and Marnie run for their lives, but end up in the hands of Delray Anderton. A violent London gangster and notorious pimp, Delray has big plans for beautiful teenager Georgie, seeing her as a chance to make some serious money. Fiercely protective of each other, Georgie and Marnie must escape the clutches of a man who will do anything to keep the sisters for himself. And, they must keep the promise they made to each other – no one can ever know the truth. A gritty, shocking and gripping thriller that will engross fans of Kimberly Chambers, Martina Cole and Jessie Keane. I feel I should start of by saying, just in case you didn't know. But Casey can write one hell of a book. I have loved each and every one of Casey Kelleher’s books. And this one was no different. Fast becoming a favourite author of many readers. Casey for me has become one of those authors whose name you recognise, and don't even need to read the synopsis to know that you are going to read the book no matter what. I started this book and flew through it, I really couldn't and didn't want to put it down. Set in Brixton we are introduce to Josie Parker, she isn’t exactly mother of the year material that’s for sure, and as much as the way she treated her children got right up my nose, there was just a little something about her that I liked. I wanted her all the way through to sort her head out, look after her children. A good old slap would have helped, but like I said there was just something that drew me to her character. She’s sold her body, abused it with drugs, and not exactly taken good care of her two girls, Georgie and Marnie. These kids I wanted to cuddle them, bath them, feed them love them. My god I really did get involved with these characters. I wasn’t sure what to expect to start with and wasn’t sure which way the book was going to go. Buy by god Casey can write. There are some great and some down right evil characters throughout the book, some you love, and some you certainly hate with passion. I have to say though the character of Javine got up my nose a lot to start with, yet turned out to be a character I really liked. I was rooting for her. And as for Delray Anderton, well..... He just irritated me, he got my back up, he ohhhhh my word he wound me up so much. I always think if an author can write a book that has you wound up, with so many mixed feeling and emotions throughout then by god they have done their work good, and that is certainly what Casey has done here. This book certainly has that feel about it that you could actually be there side by side with some of the characters; you really are drawn into the story and their lives. It leaves you with your heart racing and needing to read on. Forget normal life, you can’t have one while reading this book. You need to be locked away somewhere on your own and fly through it, because once you put it down you can’t wait to pick it up and carry on with the story. If you want something the literally has you on the edge of your seat with your eyes popping out of your head, then this really is the book for you. Fantastic read and well worth all the 5 stars I’m giving it. Well done Casey. I can’t wait for your next book. Read what everyone is saying about The Promise:

I was super thrilled to receive an ARC of this book. So a huge thank you to the Publishers, The Author and Netgalley for an ARC of this book.
And being a huge CK fan could not wait to read this latest work of art. As usual I wasn't disappointed. It Kicks off with Saskia having just lost her father, and trying to cope with grief is bad enough on it's own, but finding out your dad has gambled everything you have away is heart breaking. Vincent and Joshua Harper are not interested in any of that, they are owed money and that is all they want. It soon becomes clear that Saskia's life is never going to be her own, and she has to somehow pay all the money from her fathers gambling debts back, as these brothers are not going to be happy until they have it all. Saskia ends up agreeing to become lap dancer in the Harper brothers club, where she wants to raise money to pay them back and keep the home she has grown up with, the home that holds so many memories for her, her family home. We are also introduce to Lena Cona an immigrant from Albania, who after escaping from an abusive and sorry but a complete arse hole of a husband she finds herself in England homeless, and running and not sure who she can trust. When Saskia and Lena's worlds meet No one knows who can be trusted, and it soon becomes clear all is not as it seems. And you do not want the Harper brother against you. Lena relying on anyone who can help her and her tiny baby Roza soon end up in the hands of Colin #CreepyColin.. ahhh enough said about him. My skin crawls just thinking of him and what he is up to. Absolutely brilliantly written into the story and a pretty gruesome story line. It was amazing how all the parts of this book finally come together, woven together just brilliantly. At one point I could not see where it was all going and the surprise when it all slotted together was just brilliant. The mind of this author is just amazing. And I have to admit it was great being able to read a Casey Kelleher book again. God the woman can write. Loyalty makes you family. In the underbelly of Soho’s organised crime ring, everyone knows that retired boxer Harry Woods is not one to mess with. And that goes double for his family. Harry has it all: the big house, the flashy cars, and an abundance of wealth. As much as money talks in his world, Harry knows deep down the only thing that really counts is family. Haunted by the sudden death of his wife, he’ll do anything to protect his children, but truth is a heavy burden and hidden secrets can unravel even the strongest of bonds... Without loyalty, family are bound together only by blood. Bad blood. WOW Wow and wow again... Another book to go into my top ten Favorites of 2014. I have to say I was absolutly Buzzing when I recieved an early release copy of this book. I couldn't wait to start it. I have Recently read (Listened to) Caseys Rise and fall and Heartless on Audible. And listening to them was just as good if not better as reading them. This author really knows how to write a bloody good book. From the very beginning of this book I was gripped. Bad blood is based around Harry Woods. A well know face and ex boxer, his family and his main man Raymond, He has 2 Daughters and 2 son's and I think everyone of his kid's are different in their own way. Some likeable and some not so. And I always find if i start really disliking or liking one of the characters then it just goes to show how good the author has done dragging you into their lives. Harry's children are his life, we have one at boarding school, one totally out of control, one who wants back into the family after walking away from them, and one who wants out of the family to go legit. What a family combination that is. I'm not going into the story line as I don't think I could do it without giving to much away and I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone. This book was so well written its frightening where some of these idea's must come from. And Casey is well up there with other authors in this genre. The book just come together so bloody well. I was left speachless at the end of this book.. This really is a must read. Books available by this Author.
